New Year, New Home at Brighton Court
Our recently completed Brighton Court development on the site of the former Roma 2000 fish bar in Gorseinon has given over 25 people the opportunity to start the New year by moving into a brand new home of their own.
Factory worker Andrew Yorke is one of the new tenants and is excited to be moving in: "I’ve moved house a few times now so I’m really chuffed to have a secure new home that I can call my own. My daughter can now come and stay in a more settled family environment."
Our executive director of Housing and Community Welfare, Lesley Penn said: "Due to high demand for affordable housing in the Gorseinon area many of the new homes were allocated before the development work was finished. It’s great to be able to offer someone like Andrew suitable affordable housing near to his family and friends. It’s also really good news for Gorseinon town centre; the new households will no doubt support the businesses here and contribute to the continued commercial regeneration of Gorseinon."
All one and two bedroom apartments in the £2.5 million development have all now been let and the development also includes a commercial unit that will be situated on the High Street and includes planning permission for a restaurant or café.
